August 2017 Sustainable Champion – Marina Energy

Marina Energy is a South Jersey-based company that has long held the belief that business success and corporate social responsibility go hand in hand. They continue to prioritize environmental stewardship, community partnerships, customer and employee safety and diversity across their business.

Marina Energy develops and operates on-site energy-related projects. The company has made a significant investment in renewable and alternative energy, including constructing over 85 projects for an approximate total of 203 Megawatts (MW) of solar throughout the mid-Atlantic and northeast region, with over 150 MW in New Jersey alone.

Most recently, Marina Energy unveiled its new 3.43 MW solar park at the former Owens Corning Fiberglass property in Gloucester Township – the largest grid-tied solar project in the Township. It contains 10,566 solar panels on a 14.4 square acre “capped” landfill.  The solar park will save 3,179 tons of CO2 per year, equivalent to a CO2 offset of 79,706 trees.

We are proud to recognize Marina Energy as our Camden County Sustainability Champion for the month of August!

Accepting on behalf of Marina Energy is Robert Fatzinger, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
